    Notes
    • The number of children belonging to Jedidiah and Deborah is unclear. Richard W. Cook identified three unnamed children baptized on 17 Dec 1772. Based on circumstantial evidence, the website Osborne Origins has provided the names two probable sons (Ephraim and Jonathan), but I have not included them. [1]

    Transcript of Jedidiah Osborne's Will
    Transcript of Jedidiah Osborne's Will
    Summary:
Jedidiah mentioned only three of his children by name in his will.
Jacob and Isaac would each inherit one-half of his windmill and lands. If either Jacob or Isaac died without a male heir John would inherit that person's share except a third for the widow as long as she remained a widow.
Each of the unnamed children were left 10 shillings and an equal share of the moveable estate.
Isaac was away when the will was drawn as Jedidiah provided that "my son Jacob shall improve all my lands after my decease until my son Isaac shall return home"
Executors: Jedidiah's sons Jacob and Isaac.
Witnessed by Sarah Osborne (Jedidiah's sister?), Loraney Thompson and Elias Matthews.
Will proved on 18 Apr 1786 and approved on 9 May 1786.
