  • Notes
    • A Reuben Martin played in a baseball-like game on 4 Jun 1838 between Beachville and the Zorras, a team from the nearby township of Zorra and North Oxford. This probably was our Reuben. Most of the players are said to have been 15 - 24 years old, but the ages of several are unknown and one was called 'Old Ned' Dolson. Our Reuben would have been about 36, clearly not too old to enjoy a game. [7]
