	He was born Anton Heiniluoma and took the name Bloom upon immigrating to the United States. He was called Andrew in the 1909 border crossing papers at Detroit, and in the 1910 and 1920 US Censuses. He was Anton in the 1930 US Census. Bloom was spelled Blom in some papers.

Notes

Movements of the Bloom Family in North America are not clear.
The 1920 US Census says that Anton and Fiina immigrated in 1902. Apparently they first lived in New York, where Andrew (1904) and Armas (1906) were born. Uno (1907) and Ina (1909) were born in Canada. In 1909, Anton, Fiina and 3 month old Ina crossed the border into the US, and the form indicated they were going to their own home in Detroit. Ina was on a separate page of the form. When did they first move to Detroit? They were settled in the Eagle River area by 1910.
