Note that the signature on the 1793 deed differs from that of Thomas Baly (Thomas 4th) on his 1773 lease both in the spelling of Baley and the form of the B, but it is similar to that of Thomas Baley, Jr. (Thomas 5th) on his 1773 lease. The fact that Thomas did not use Junior on 1793 deed, suggests that Thomas 4th was dead at that time. This appears to be a continuation page, as it deals with payments from Dec 1798 through 1808, and it refers to a lease dated 1 Apr 1793. This lease appears to be lost, but the rent (8 bushels of wheat) is the same as that in Nathan's lease dated 1788. Nathan leased Rensselaerwyck land starting in 1779.
