    • Christensen says that other than the similarity of names no genealogical proof exists showing that the Steven Hopkins baptized on the last of April 1581 is the same Steven who married Elizabeth Fisher in St Mary Matfellon, Whitechapel, Middlesex and became a passenger on the Mayflower. Hence the title of his article. [1]
