Histories of the Martin, Wilson, Bloom, & Ahola Families
Amidon (Amadowne), Joanna
1652 --
Name Amidon (Amadowne), Joanna Birth 20 Sep 1652 Rehoboth, Bristol, Massachusetts - Joanna appeared in the transcription of the vital records of Rehoboth, but she was not mentioned in the probate agreement for her father's estate, and also not mentioned in Best's book on the Amidon family. However, Joanna's birth date in the transcription of the vital records was the same as that given for Hannah in Best's book (20 Sep 1652). While it is possible that the girls were twins and only Joanna was included in the vital record, it also is possible that Best concluded they were the same person. I suspect that Hannah was older than Joanna. (See note under Hannah.) [1, 2]
Gender Female Death - Probably died before her father as she was not mentioned in probate of his estate although her sister Hannah was.
