Notes - Frank's brother Oskar Ahola left Finland in 1900. Frank followed in August, 1901, leaving his wife and two children behind. In October 1901 Ida, the children and Frank's parents John and Ida Ahola took the Polaris ship from Hanko, Finland to England. From there they took the White Star Ocean Line to the United States. Frank met them in New York and took them to Daggett, Michigan, where they made their home. [3]
