    • Earl and Zerviah may have become acquainted between 1795 and 1800 when Zerviah's family was living in Middleburgh, Schoharie County, New York and Earl's family was living in nearby Rensselaerville, Albany County. Zerviah's brother Elijah was reportedly born in Claverack in 1801, and Walworth wrote that Daniel and his family moved to Bainbridge in 1806. Note that the Afton Enterprise article (see notes under Daniel Hyde) says that Daniel moved to Bainbridge in 1801. But this seems unlikely given Zerviah's marriage in Claverack at the end of 1804.
